Censor (2021)

Censor is a film about a film censor who gets obsessed with a horror movie that may be connected to her past. The film tries to be meta and comment on the effects of violence and censorship on the viewer, but it fails to deliver a satisfying conclusion. The first two acts are decent, but the third act is a mess. It is unclear what is real and what is not, and the ending is abrupt and confusing. The film could have been better if it had a more coherent plot and a stronger message. Censor is a disappointing horror film that wastes its potential.
