Resurrection (2022)

Well, it’s the first time I felt disgust by watching a psychological horror film, I can tell you that it had some impact on me. The film took me on a roller coaster of terrible emotions, leaving me deeply upset during the first act as I watched a man stalk and abuse a woman. It reminded me of the struggles that many women face in their personal lives, and the harm they endure, both physically and mentally.
As the movie progressed, I was disturbed for very different reasons that I won’t spoil here. I can say that I felt very disturbed with the ending but for very different reasons.
The acting was great, Tim Roth was particularly amazing. While it was a difficult watch, I think it’s one of the best psychological horror films I’ve seen lately.
