Swallow (2019)

Here’s my review for this film, but first, a little joke I read online…

“How did she get pregnant if she swallows all the time.”

Wow, I was not expecting for this film to be this good.
The film tells the story of a woman that comes from a middle social class, being married with her husband and now surrounded by people from the upper-class in a marriage where she feels that she is not valued enough and with a life she’s not used to living, she soon starts developing a strange habit of eating objects, which is in fact a real disorder called ‘Pica’. But all this happens, not only by the recents changes in her lifestyle, but also while she is pregnant and a distant past haunts her fragile psique.
The pace of the film, the camera work and the editing were not that great in my opinion, but I decided to watch the film anyway and I was not disappointed.
The third act was very good, and I really liked Haley Bennett performance.

P.S. I know she looks a lot like Renee Zellweger and Jennifer Lawrence, but give her some credit goddamnit, she is a great actress.
